WARDELL-=VALLANCE.

A wedding of very wide interests was celebrated at St. Alban's Church, Taueru, yesterday afternoon, when Miss Zona Vallance, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs C. F. Vallance, Kahumingi, was married to Mr Herbert James Wardell, eldest son of the late T. W. Wardell and Mrs Wardell, Te Whiti.

There was a large congregation in the church to witness the ceremony, which was performed by the vicar of Tenui [Tinui], (Rev. B. D. Ashcroft). The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming... She was attended by Nora. Armstrong (Akitio)... The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Alan Wardell, as best man,

After the ceremony a reception was held at Kahumingi, at which a large number of guests were present. The fine large rooms and the tables were tastefully decorated with beautiful flowers--carnations and chrysanthemums and autumn tints. Pink was the prevailing colour. The health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by Mr Hugh Morrison..

Mr and Mrs Wardell left later by motor for Wellington...
