June 30, 1927, Vestry Meeting

Minutes of Vestry Meeting held in the C. Room on Thursday, June 30, 1927, at 7.30 p.m.


Present

The Vicar presiding; Churchwarden Hosking; Vestrymen: Ninnes, Russell, Morton, Herbert, Penistone, Hyde and Denbee.


Apologies

Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Hale, Green and Maunsell.


Mr Peacock

Mr Peacock wrote re certain breakages in the Old Parish Hall, prior to the use of the hall by the Scouts. "Received."


Envelope system

The Vicar reported Mr V P Heath had consented to take of the secretaryship of the Envelope System and that the Ladies on the Finance Committee had expressed a wish that the present envelope system be given a further trial before changing over to the Duplex System.


Financial Statement

The Financial Statement as appearing on page 709 was adopted and accounts appearing thereon passed for payment.


It was resolved that the next meeting of the Vestry be held on Wednesday, July 27, at 8 p.m.


Offertories

Messrs Penistone and Ninnes were appointed to take up the offertories for July.


The meeting closed with the Grace.
