Minutes of Annual Meeting of Parishioners held in the Parish Hall on Thursday, April 30th, 1925, at 7.30 p.m. (Pages 77-78)
The Vicar presiding over some 60 parishioners.
The minutes of the last annual meeting of parishioners were read and confirmed.
Report and Balance Sheet
Mr C Perry moved and Mr Sydney Smith seconded that the report and balance sheet be taken as read. Carried.
Dr Hosking having referred to many items in the Balance Sheet, also motor car allowance, Parish Hall account, Heating the Church, etc, moved that the Balance Sheet be adopted. Seconded by Mr Hale and Carried.
Vicar's Report
The Vicar read his report, in which he extended his sincere thanks to the members of the Vestry, Ladies' Guild, Sunday School teachers, Girls' Club and all others who by their co-operation had helped to make the work of the Parish during the past year a pleasure to him.
Vicar's Warden
The Vicar having expressed his honest appreciation of the loyalty and help always extended to him by Mr Hale during his time as Vicar's Warden, stated, in his opinion, it was good that the office should go round, he then moved that for the coming year Dr Hosking be appointed to the position of Vicar's Warden. Carried.
People's Warden
On the motion of Mr Hale, seconded by Mr Hyde, Mr L B Maunsell was unanimously elected Parishioners' Warden.
Vestrymen
The following nominations were received for the position of Vestrymen: Messrs Hale, Denbee, Penistone, Williams, Hyde, Ball, McCartney, Best, Green, Morton, Dunderdale, Herbert, McAlg?. The nominations having exceeded the number required a ballot became necessary.
Scrutineers
Messrs S Smith and Whitton were appointed scrutineers.
The result of the Ballot was as follows: Messrs Hale, Denbee, Penistone, Williams, Hyde, Ball, McCartney, Best, Green and Morton.
The Vicar declared the above gentlemen duly elected to serve on the Vestry for the coming year.
Auditors
Messrs Sellar and Boddington were duly thanked by the Vicar for auditing the Parish Accounts and moved that they be re-elected Hon. Auditors for another term. Seconded by Mr Best and Carried.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
