WEDDING

At St. Matthew's Church, this morning, Miss Gertrude Apperley, youngest daughter of Mr Jesse Apperley, of Masterton, was married to Mr Thomas Rodgers, of Masterton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a tailor-made costume, with white felt hat, and was attended by Miss Agnes Hogg as bridesmaid, who was attired in a cream serge costume, with hat to match. Mr A. Spratt was best man, and Rev. H. J. Edwards performed the ceremony.

A reception was subsequently held at the residence of the bride's parents, and the newly-wedded couple, who were the recipients of a large number of costly and useful presents, left by this afternoon's train for Wellington, en route for their future home at Wanganui.
