HAVOC IN ST. MATTHEW'S HALI LOCKERS BROKEN OPEN. A considerable amount of havoc was caused by a couple of boys who burglar iously entered St. Matthew's Parish Hall on Thursday evening. Many lock- ers were broken open and the content in some cases scattered about the room An entry was apparently made early in the evening, before 7.30 o'clock, for at that time the discovery of the un- welcome visitors' work was made. It is estimated that the damage amounts to about £15. The intruders even went as far as to disfigure the top of a mall table with some gold paint, with the words: "Ha, Ha." which clearly indi- cated it to be the work of juveniles. The Sunday School boxes were examin- ed for money and the church collec- tion boxes broken, but fortunately, all money had been removed. The police have since apprehended two boys, one of 14 years and the other of 13 years, who will in due course appear before the Magistrate to answer charges.
