Present

The Vicar presiding; Churchwardens Maunsell and Hosking; Vestry Hyde, Hale, Penistone, Russell and Denbee.


Minutes

The Minutes of the Vestry Meeting held on Thursday, November 24, 1927, were read and confirmed.


Boy Scouts

An application was received from the Boy Scouts for permission to do certain work in the old Parish Hall. Mr Hale moved and Mr Penistone seconded That the application be left in the hands of the Vicar and Churchwardens to deal with.


Organist

The Vicar reported he had arranged with Mrs Hunn* to take the position of organist at a salary of £50 p a and with Mrs [Adele] Rosewarne to fill the position of Choirmaster at £50 p.a. and asked that the Vestry ratify his action. Mr Hale moved and Mr Maunsell seconded that the action of the Vicar be confirmed. Carried.


Mr Harper

The Vicar moved that a letter be sent to Mr Harper, conveying the Vestry's appreciation of the services he has rendered the Church during his stay in the Parish.


Old Parish Hall

It was resolved that Mr Denbee interview Mr Armitage in regard to the Old Parish Hall and report to the Vicar.


Curate Fund

Mr Denbee moved and Mr Hale seconded that if necessary the Vicar call a special meeting of the Church of the Epiphany Committee concerning their Assessment and that Mr Maunsell accompany the Vicar at such meeting.


Financial Statement

The Financial Statement as appearing on page 704 was adopted and accounts appearing thereon passed for payment.


Vicarage Repairs

Mr Maunsell moved and Mr Russell seconded that the vicarage bathroom, lavatory and hall be put into a proper state of repair at a cost not to exceed £50. Carried.


Mayo Bequest [s/b Building Fund]

Mr Russell moved and Mr Hyde seconded that the churchwardens be authorised to draw against the Building Fund up to £1000. Carried.

Tenders

Dr Hosking moved and Mr Hale seconded that Tender for the Clergy Vestry and Side Chapel be called for in Masterton only.  Carried.


Offertories

Offertories for March to be taken up by Messrs Denbee and Herbert.


The meeting closed with the Grace.
