July 1933 Vestry Meeting

Minutes of the Vestry Meeting held at the Vicarage on Tuesday, July 25, 1933, at 7.30 pm (page 219)


Present

The Vicar presiding; Churchwarden Maunsell; Vestrymen Hyde, Penistone, Russell, Coleman, Griffin and Denbee.


Apologies

Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Ninnes, Hale and Clark.


Minutes

The minutes of the last Ordinary Meeting of the Vestry held on Tuesday, June 27, also the minutes of a Special Meeting held on Monday, July 18, 1933, were read and confirmed.


Parish Hall

The Vicar moved and Mr Hyde seconded that the offer of Mr F H Dunderdale to place £1100 at the disposal of the Vestry for a term of 7 years at 4½% interest payable half yearly, (the money to be available when required) Be Accepted. Carried unanimously.


Financial Statement

Mr Russell moved That the financial statement as presented be received and accounts submitted amounting to £27.4.1 be passed for payment. Seconded by Mr Denbee and Carried.


Organ Repairs

Mr Denbee moved and Mr Coleman seconded that the balance owing on the Organ Repairs account be paid on, or after September 30, 1933, conditionally on a certificate being obtained from Mr Hunn That the work has been completed satisfactorily.  Carried.


The meeting closed with the Grace.
