A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Matthew's Church yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr Rudolph Henry Nitz, second son of Mr H. Nitz, of Kaiwhata, East Coast, and Miss Dora May Walker, daughter of Mrs G. Marshall, of Masterton. The bride, who looked handsome in cream silk taffeta, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, was given away by her step-father, Mr G. Marshall, Misses L. Whelch and Ethel Whelch were the bridesmaids...
Mr G. Vennell was best man, and Mr H. J. Nitz groomsman. Both the bride and bridesmaids carried pretty bouquets. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Sykes, assisted by the Rev. H. Watson...
The bride's mother, Mary Dora Marshall, had remarried George Marshall in 1901, after her husband Alfred Walker died in 1895 in Ormond, Tairawhiti.Â
