Present

The Vicar presiding; Churchwardens Maunsell and Ninnes; Vestrymen Hosking, Hale, Hyde, Clark, Penistone, Russell, Coleman, Griffin.


Apology for absence T T Denbee


Minutes

The minutes of the ordinary meeting held on Tuesday, March 23, also the minutes of special meetings held on Wednesday, April 5 and Thursday, April 27 were read and confirmed.


Correspondence


Parochial Nominators

In reply to a letter from the Diocesan Treasurer re the election of Parochial Nominators, Mr Clark moved and Mr Russell seconded that the two churchwardens, with Messrs Hale and Hyde be elected nominators for this Parish. Carried.


Financial Statement

It was resolved that the Financial Statement be received and accounts appearing thereon passed for payment, subject to Mr Ninnes interviewing the Printing Co. concerning their account and satisfying himself the account was in order.


Parish Hall account

Mr Ninnes moved and Mr Clark seconded That Mr Dunderdale interview the mortgagee re the Parish Hall mortgage and obtain information re new interest rates. Carried.


Mr Hal moved and Mr Russell seconded that a sub-committee be set up consisting of the Vicar and churchwardens, Messrs Coleman, Hosking and Denbee, for the purpose of considering the Building Society Scheme. Carried.


Parish Hall rates

It was resolved that the Vicar be asked to write to the Diocesan Treasurer, placing before him the position which has arisen in the matter of the Parish Hall Section being made rateable and getting from him a ruling thereon.


Kuripuni Section

Dr Hosking moved, Mr Hyde seconded That Mr ? write to the Diocesan Treasurer re his enquiry concerning the Kuripuni Church Section.  Carried.


Offertories

Messrs Hyde and Hosking were appointed to take up the offertories for June.


The meeting closed with the Grace.
