Mr Maunsell presiding; Vestrymen Ramsay, Penistone, Clark, Russell, Hyde, Dr Hosking, Denbee, Rev. McLevie.


Minutes

The Minutes of the vestry meeting held on Tuesday, July 31 were read and confirmed.


Apologies: Messrs Peacock and Hale.


Correspondence

Diocesan Trustees

In the matter of their enquiry whether the vestry would offer any objection to a further section of the Old Church Site [Church Acre] being let for a wood and coal yard. It was resolved that a sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Ninnes and Hyde, be set up to interview Mr Mason with the object of ascertaining from Mr Mason just what his ideas were in the matter of the use he intended to make of the section, and to report to a further meeting of the vestry.


Vicarage Trees

Mr Denbee moved and Mr Black seconded That a sub-committee consisting of Dr Hosking and Mr Hale be set up to consider the position of felling certain of the elms and poplars at the back of the vicarage and that they be given power to act.


Financial statement

It was resolved that the financial statement be received. Carried.


Offertories

Messrs Hosking and Denbee were appointed to take up the offertories for September.


The meeting closed with the Grace.
