A pretty wedding was celebrated by the Rev. B. D. Ashcroft at St. Matthew's Church yesterday, when. Miss Elsie May Foreman, second daughter of Mr and Mrs G. Foreman, of Gladstone, was married to Mr William Chalmers, late of Wellington, and now of Whakatane.

The bride... was given away by her father. The bridesmaids [were] Miss May Foreman and Miss Effie Foreman... Mr George Foreman (brother of the bride) acted as best man, and Mr E. Wakeland was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Municipal Hall, Masterton. Later Mr and Mrs Chalmers left by the afternoon train.
