Present
The Vicar presiding; Churchwardens Ninnes; Vestrymen Russell, Hyde, Ramsay, Clark, Hyde, Coleman, Denbee and the Rev. McLevie.
Minutes
The minutes of the vestry meeting held on Tuesday, August 28 were read and confirmed.
Apologies
Apology for absence was received from Mr Maunsell.
Old Church Section
Arising from the minutes Mr Ninnes reported on the result of the interview the sub-committee had with Mr Mason, re his enquiry concerning the use of a section of the Old church Site [Church Acre] for the purpose of carrying on a wood and coal business.
Mr Ninnes moved and Mr Denbee seconded That the Diocesan Trustees be informed that in the opinion of the vestry, a wood and coal business on the section in question is not desirable. Carried.
Financial statement
It was resolved that the Financial Statement be received.
In view of the Girls' Club Concert having been arranged to be held on the date of the next vestry meeting, it was decided to hold the next vestry meeting on the 1st Sunday in November,Â
also that during the period of Daylight Saving vestry meetings be called for 8 pm in lieu of 7.30 pm.
Offertories
The Churchwardens were appointed to take up the offertories for October.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
