February 24, 1927 Vestry Meeting
The Rev J H Datson [Assistant Curate], who has been transferred to Raetihi, will be tendered a farewell in St. Matthew's Parish Hall on Sunday evening, at the conclusion of the service in St. Matthew's Church.

The Vicar presiding; Churchwarden Hosking; Vestrymen Penistone, McCartney, Hale, Morton, Hyde, Briden, Green, Denbee.
Apologies Mr S Smith and L B Maunsell.
Minutes
The minutes of the last Vestry meeting held on Thursday, November 24, 1926 were read and confirmed.
Compactum Boy Scouts
An application was received on behalf of the Boy Scouts for permission to erect a glass-fronted case in the Parish Hall in which to place their cups, etc; left in the hands of Hall Committee with "Power to Act".
Parishioners' Register
It was resolved that the matter of procuring a new Parishioners' Register and writing up same be left in the hands of the Churchwardens.
Girls' Club
Mr Hal moved and Mr Hyde seconded that the letter from the Girls' Club secretary re being represented on the Hall Committee, etc, be handed over to the Hall Committee and that the Hall Committee be given "Power to Act."
Vicarage gas stove
It was resolved that the gas stove in the Vicarage be inspected by the Churchwardens and if necessary they be empowered to purchase a new stove.
Chancel furnishings
The Vicar reported on a scheme which is proposed for beautifying the Chancel. [Alice Hill Mayo bequest provided the funds.] It was resolved on the motion of Mr Green that the Vicar and Churchwardens be authorised to proceed with the work.
Financial Statement
The Financial Statement as appearing on page 711 was adopted.
Offertories
Messrs Hale and Smith were appointed to take up the offertories for March.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
