Minutes of Vestry Meeting held in the Common Room on Thursday, January 29th, 1925, at 7.30. (Page 71)
Present
The Vicar presiding; Churchwarden Hale; Vestrymen Penistone, Dunderdale, Williams, Hyde, Ball and Denbee.
Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Maunsell and Herbert.
Minutes
The Minutes of the previous vestry meeting held on 27 November 1924 were read and confirmed.
Church of the Epiphany
In reply to an application from the Committee of the Church of the Epiphany for the Vestry's consent to additions to their social hall, Mr Williams moved and Mr Hale seconded that the consent asked for be given and that the Secretary write the committee stating the Vestry would be glad to be supplied with a statement giving particulars of their income and showing how they proposed financing same, their particulars being required for the purpose of placing on record.
Diocesan Trustee
A letter was received from the Diocesan Trustees re getting a plan prepared of the Old Church Site [Church Acre]. It was resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the Churchwardens.
New Parish Hall
The Vicar reported applications had been made for the payment for extras in connection with the New Parish Hall Building.
It was resolved that the Hall Committee be asked to go very carefully into the items for which payment is claimed, that they take into consideration all deductions and that they carefully examine the structures and fittings pointing out all defects and having the same made reasonably good and further That they be given Power to Act.
Offertories
Messrs Williams and McCartney were appointed to take up the offertories for February.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
