MR SAMUEL TRASS.
The death occurred last night of Mr Samuel Trass. a well-known and highly respected resident of Masterton.
The late Mr Samuel Trass, who was 60 years of age, had resided in the Wairarapa all his life. He served in the Boer War. He was a keen sportsman and spent much time hunting in the Tararuas. He was well known as a guide in these ranges. He had not enjoyed the best of health for the past few years but was laid up for a few weeks only. His death will come as a great shock to his many friends and relatives. He leaves a widow, three sons, Messrs Donald (Wanganui) and Leslie and Norrie Trass (Masterton), and eight daughters, Mesdames J. Griffith, C. H. Skeet, F. G. Wellington, R. Clark (all of Masterton), G. Bicknell (Greytown), O. Willis (Bideford) and Misses E. and P. Trass (Masterton).
The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Chapel of Hyde's Funeral Service. Ltd., following a service at 3 p.m.. for the Masterton Cemetery.
