Special Vestry Meeting
Minutes of Special Meeting of the Vestry held in the Clergy Vestry on Thursday, May 10, 1929, at 8.30 pm.
Present
The Vicar presiding; Churchwardens Hosking and Smith; Vestrymen Dunderdale, Ninnes, Clark, Hale, Groves, Hickson, Green and Denbee.
The Vicar extended to the new members of the Vestry a cordial welcome and wished each of them a happy term of office.
The Special Meeting was called for the purpose of dealing with the rents of the Church Acre, which will commence from September next and to formulate proposals to submit to the Parochial Districts of Tinui and Eketahuna concerning what would be a fair allocation of the rents.
After a general discussion had taken place Mr Denbee moved and Mr Hyde seconded That a sub-committee be set up to meet representatives from Tinui and Eketahuna. That the constitution of the sub-committee be The Vicar, Churchwardens and Mr Dunderdale, Synodsman, and that they be given Power to Act.
The Sub-Committee having heard the discussions and suggestions are a fair basis for allocation, it was felt any resolution or recommendation, recorded in the Minutes was unnecessary.
The meeting closed with the Grace.
Signed Wm Bullock
